An Archive of Label Works

Duxbury Extracts is a collection of digital label works inspired by the visual language of functional wellness packaging. The project sits at the intersection of design systems, regional visual culture, and consumer objects, using repetition, scale, and imperfection to blur the boundary between product and artwork.

The familiar structure of herbal extract labels is retained and repeated as a working system. Typography, hierarchy, and informational layout remain largely intact, allowing these forms to be examined through consistency, accumulation, and scale.

Background images are sourced from public-domain American landscape paintings, many created over a century ago. They function both as imagery and atmosphere, folded into contemporary packaging structures while remaining visually peripheral.

Repetition is central to the project, mirroring how design systems saturate everyday visual environments and recede from conscious attention.
